On Friday, September 2, 2016, Meridian Automotive presented a check for $1802.33 to Operation Homefront, a local nonprofit that provides emergency financial and other assistance to service members, wounded warriors, and their families.
The money was a result of Meridian Automotive’s 6thAnnual Show & Shine Car Show held on July 30th, 2016, in Meridian, Idaho. Over 50 classic cars were entered in the event. Proceeds from event registration and raffle ticket sales made up the donation.
The money was used to purchase 225 backpacks for the children of service members to go back to school.
“We are very excited to be able to give this donation to Operation Homefront knowing that the money helped people right here in our community,” says John Nesmith, owner of Meridian Automotive.
The annual car show featured custom and restored cars and street machines. Winners were picked for Best Paint, Best Engine, and Best of Show.
