Questions and Concerns
Question: When I bring my car in to get fixed, when will I get it back?
Answer: In most cases we have a one day turn-around time. If we do need your vehicle for a longer period of time we will call you before we close and let you know. We do offer a shuttle service for our customers that need to be picked up or dropped off.
Question: What kind of warranty do I get on the vehicle repairs?
Answer: We offer a 25 month or 25,000 mile nationwide warranty. We are an ACDelco service center and offer an ACDelco Consumer Assurance Program. The program is our way of letting you know that we stand behind each and every quality ACDelco part we sell. If any ACDelco parts fail that we installed and you are more than 25 miles from our location all you need to do is call the Consumer Assurance Program number at 1-800-ACDelco. If necessary the operator will arrange for towing assistance to the nearest participating Independent Service Center. You must present your original receipt to the repair facility for authorization. If you do not have your original receipt don’t worry, we can fax one to the repair facility. Question: What if the repairs take a lot of time and I don’t have a ride home and I don’t want to wait in the office?
Answer: We offer a shuttle service that will take you within a 5 mile radius of our shop. Our shuttles run from 9:00am to 3:30pm. The best part is it’s absolutely FREE!
Question: How do I access my vehicle records?
Answer: You can go online to MechanicNet to view all your past invoices and make all your appointments online. It’s simple to connect for the first time; all you need is a past invoice from us to log in.
Question: Will work be done on my car that I don’t approve of? Will I get an estimate of the repairs before the work is done?
Answer: When you drop your car off with us we will give you a price of the diagnostic or repair before you leave. After we diagnose the problem with your vehicle we will call you with an estimate of the repairs and a time frame of how long it will take to fix your car. We will never do any repairs that aren’t authorized.
Question: What kind of payments do you take? Can I make payments or get credit from Meridian Automotive?
Answer: For payments we can take Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express, Cash, or Check. We do offer an extended credit program through GE Money, called CarCare One. Through the CarCare One program you get a credit card with our name “Meridian Automotive” on it that you can use anytime repairs are done on your vehicle through us. They offer no interest if paid in full for 6 months on purchases of $299 or more on approved credit.
Question: What is the difference between “After-Market” parts and “O.E”?
Answer: “O.E” stands for Original Equipment, which means the part that we are installing on your vehicle is the same part that was made by your vehicles manufacturer. “After-Market” means that the part is a replica or a similar product of the original equipment part. Meaning, another parts maker took the original part and had it duplicated to their specifications. We prefer to install O.E parts when we do the repairs on your vehicle.
Question: Can I drop my car off at night or early in the morning when you aren’t open?
Answer: Yes, you can leave your car with us anytime. We have a night/early bird drop off slot in our front door. All you need to do is fill out this form and put it in the provided envelope by the door. Put your keys and the provided form in the envelope and put it in the night drop slot. We will look at your car and call you with an estimate of how much it will be to repair.
